This catalogue accompanied M&L Fine Art's exhibition "Max Ernst: An Invitation to Look," which took place from 2 October to 29 November 2020.
It features six new essays by Dr Jürgen Pech, Chief Curator of the Max Ernst Museum Brühl des LVR, written to accompany the fourteen works presented, divided in thematic and chronological groups. In addition, a rare autobiography by the artist, originally published on occasion of the 1961 Max Ernst retrsospective at the Museum of Modern Art, New York, has been re-printed for the first time.
